Hours and On-call
The hospital operates two ED shifts daily: a 0800-1900 shift with a 1-hour break and a 1030-2130 shift with a 1-hour break, followed by on-call support for junior staff decision-making and/or patient assessment until 0800 the next day.

Payment Frequency:
The shift with standby call is from 1030-2130, plus standby call from 2130-0800. Typically, there is one standby call per week and up to three procedural calls per week, subject to change based on doctor availability.
Orientation
New doctors are advised to meet at the Emergency Department at 0800 on their first day.
